1.How much does a pool cost?
A basic pool from El Dorado Custom Pools starts around $28,900. There is a virtual endless amount of possibility's as to the type of pool we can build for you, so establishing the exact cost is un-known until we have determined the size, shape, features, etc.
During our initial meeting we will establish these parameters and formulate a quotation that reflects your individual projects cost. We work with each customer to deliver a product that meets your individual taste as well as budget considerations. 2. How much $ is required down to start the project?
NONE. El Dorado Custom Pools does not require any down payment to start your project. Once we have a signed contract we start immediately to finalize design and submit for permits. California Contractor law prohibits any Contractor from receiving more than 10% or $1000.00 which ever is less as a down payment.
3. How long does it take to get a permit?
Generally speaking it takes between One and Three weeks from the submittal date to receive a swimming pool building permit. There are many factors that influence the permit issuance time - County in which the project is located, scope of work to be completed, other regulatory agency's such as C.S.D., Homeowners Associations & the time of year are all factors in the permit process.
4. How long will it take to build our pool?
In general it takes between four and eight weeks to build a pool. The complexity of the project and the amenities included such as landscape, solar, retaining walls, product availability & weather conditions all play a role in determining completion time. Rest assured El Dorado Custom Pools will work diligently to complete your project in the least amount of time required.
5. How long does it take to fill up our pool?
Between 24 and 48 hours is the average time. City water vs. well, pressure at the nozzle and size of the pool are all elements that will determine fill time. The pool filling process is initiated immediately after a plaster finish is applied and continues un-interrupted until he pool is fill entirely. A Pebble Tech finish is much different as it requires an acid wash the day following application and then the filing process starts. Filling your pool is a important step in the construction process and needs to be done correctly (un-interrupted) to eliminate finish problems.
6. Will we need a pool service to maintain our pool?
This really depends on the time you have to spend on the pool maintenance. On average it should only take about a hour or so a week to monitor and adjust chemical levels.Periodically the need to clean filters and skimmer baskets is necessary as well. On our "FORMS" page you will find a comprehensive guide to pool maintenance that will outline what is generally required to maintain an average pool.Your pool is a big investment and requires periodical maintenance to keep it looking and performing perfect. If you are unable to take on the responsibility, than a professional pool service may be required.
7. What about problems with the pool after construction?
Simply fill out our warranty request form on our "FORMS" page. On the form you would include the nature of the problem, when the problem started and your contact information. Then you would simply follow the link to send us the request. After reviewing the nature of the problem the appropriate action will be taken to remedy a warranted problem.
8. What sort of warranty does El Dorado Custom Pools offer?
The best in the industry we think. Your pool Gunite shell is warranted for LIFE. The finish on your pool will be covered for between one and ten years depending on the type of finish you choose. The pool equipment is backed by STA-RITE'S industry leading three years. The overall general project is covered by a complete one year warranty. Additional project feature's such as structure's, landscape & concrete carry there own individual warranty periods.
